What is Dry Needling?

Dry Needling is included in the osteopathic session and includes fine needles which are inserted into specific areas of the body, including muscles, tendons, and connective tissues. The goal is to release tension, reduce pain, and restore optimal function by stimulating a healing response within the affected tissues. Contrary to acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine principles, Dry Needling focuses on Western anatomical and neurophysiological concepts.
